 We live halfway between Florence (40 Km.), Pisa (30), Lucca (40), San Gimignano (35), Volterra (45), Siena (50), and the sea is 35 km far. All these towns, except Lucca, San Gimignano and Volterra, are connected by a freeway which is - in the valley - 4 km. far from here. Montopoli in Val d'Arno (you can find it on the map exactly between Florence and Pisa) is a little hill-village of medieval origin (130 m. a.s.l.), and its beautiful countryside is the highlight of its hilly area, rich in cypresses, acacia-trees, vineries, olive-trees, etc.
Our farmhouse was originally built in 1760 and is situated on a hilltop, 1 Km. far from Montopoli, (140 m. a.s.l.); we own a 10 Ha. Hill-property, where we mostly produce Extra Virgin Olive-Oil and Saffron. All around the house, the wide park of about 6,000 sqm., is available to the guests  and it also offers a park with outdoor games for children. We have a donkey, two dogs, some cats, two geese and some other poultry, all of them definitively jolly, affectionate and friendly. The ancient barn, in front of the house, has been adapted for our guests relaxation, who may also use the existing barbecue and the wood-gazebo for outdoor lunch or dinners. In our 10 Ha. hill-property, we also discovered a group of 6 Etruscan tombs, directly excavated in the ground. There is a castle near here (I mean 15 minutes by feet); furthermore we have created signalled naturalistic paths with information about the existing flora. We can prepare Tuscan typical dishes based on our local products.
